Prices and Economy
A long course at a Folk High School is approximately 1200 DKK per week.
...but be aware that the prices varies alot from scool to school depending on the couses, use of materials, travelling etc. at the given school.
The price includes:
- Teaching
- Full board
- Lodging
Usually you must pay extra for a single room.
Look for information about shorter courses at Short Courses.
Contact the specific folk high schools of your interest and get help to calculate the exact price of your stay.
Financial Support
You cannot work while studying at a Folk High School, but it is possible to apply for financial support from different funds depending on where you are from.
students from new eu member states
The Danish Government has set down a grant for students from new EU member states. The students accepted can get a partial or whole coverage of their fees.
The grant is administered by the Danish Agency for International Education.

NOTE!
You cannot apply yourself, as the single schools apply on your behalf. Therefore, if you wish to apply for this grant, contact the school of your wish, in good time before the beginning of the term, to effectuate the application to DAIE.
This means: well in advance of June / December.

Beyond Cirius some of the schools have funds you can apply for as well. Contact the school of your interest to know more about this.
