Courses

Before you decide on which school to attend and on what course to choose it is important that you are aware of the variety of possibilities you find among the almost 80 existing Folk High Schools; not two of them are the same.

Most schools specify in one or two specific areas. Apart from this you can also choose between either:

• schools in the cities or schools on the country side
• schools with 50% internationals, schools with 10% internationals - and some schools do not take internationals not speaking Danish
• extended courses or short courses  
• schools with an international perspective or schools focusing on Danish culture
• sports or writing, jazz or ceramics, philosophy or Danish, politics or modern theatre etc.

Make sure to contact the schools of your interest to know which subjects and areas they plan to cover in the period of your stay before you make the final decision.
